Dousman Transport is seeking a self-driven individual to work independently as a diesel mechanic.  The successful applicant must have a comprehensive diesel and electronics background.  

Qualifications

-        Prior school bus experience and ASE/OEM certifications (highly desirable) 

-        Vocational or technical degree (highly desirable)

-        WI state driver’s license with safe driving record.  
-        Applicant should have or be willing to obtain a CDL with a School Bus endorsement (we will train)             

-        Strong mechanical/troubleshooting aptitude

-        Familiarity with engine/transmission diagnostic software

 Job responsibilities include maintenance and repair of a fleet of approximately 20 diesel school buses. 
 Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle repair including:  
-        Major/minor engine repairs, transmissions, brakes, compressors, fuel systems, wheelchair lifts, etc.

-        Complete work orders accurately; maintain service records, including repairs completed and parts used

-        Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections at required intervals

-        Respond to road calls, as necessary

-        Other responsibilities, as required
